KYAKA II ARSENAL FANS CLUB – KAFC is a group of the united refugees and the host communities and it started in the year 2022 in August and started with to gents whore know as Pacific King A.k.a ARSENAL and SUNDAY. They did the duty of uniting this group until they made the organisation of the fans.
KAFC has approximately 500 and they meet every Sunday of the week to unite the love of this Team.
The aim of KAFC is to bring together fans of a particular football (soccer) team to share their love and support for the team. KAFC provides a way for fans to connect with each other and create a safe environment free of mental health problems such as trauma and depression for youth, children and elders of Kyaka II Community.
The ultimate goal of KAFC is to create a sense of community among fans and to support the team both on and off the field. This can include promoting the team through social media and other channels, and providing a loud and enthusiastic presence at matches to show the team that they have a passionate fan base behind them.
KAFC frames youth in positive ways by providing a supportive environment that encourages young people to become passionate about football and to develop positive values and attitudes.
Here are some ways in which KAFC frames youth in Kyaka II Refugee Settlement:
- Positive role models: and KAFC provides young people with positive role models, such as adult members who demonstrate good sportsmanship, respect for others, and a commitment to the team.
- Community involvement: KAFC involves young people in community events and activities, helping them develop a sense of civic responsibility and social awareness.
- Learning opportunities: KAFC provides educational opportunities related to football, such as coaching clinics or workshops on nutrition and fitness. These can help young people develop new skills and knowledge that they can apply on and off the field.
- Mentorship: KAFC pairs young members with adult mentors who can provide guidance and support as they navigate the challenges of growing up.
- Supportive environment: KAFC creates a safe and supportive environment where young people can feel comfortable expressing themselves and developing their skills without fear of judgment or ridicule.
Overall, KAFC positively influences young people by providing them with opportunities to learn, grow, and connect with others who share their interests and values.
Some of the Activities of KAFC includes friendly matches with some other community members such as Partners staff etc.
It is in that way that KAFC played a match with Bujubuli Staff on February 17th, 2023 at Bujubuli Playground and worn 3-2.
This is so wonderful and encouraging. Please you need our attention…..
Even those who support other fields not sports can benefit from you. Good example to other communities. Thanks youths of Kyaka 2
