We are thrilled to announce that KRLON, in partnership with ADRA Uganda, has achieved a significant milestone by completing Gender and Human Rights training for 35 community-based groups (CBGs) in the Kyaka II Refugee Settlement. This impactful program is part of ADRA’s Resilience Enhancement for Adapting Sustainable Livelihoods (REAL) project, which aims to empower community members through sustainable practices and shared decision-making.
Empowering Women for Inclusive Decision-Making
Our training focused on enhancing women’s roles in planning and decision-making within their households, promoting equality, and fostering more inclusive family and community dynamics. Participants engaged in hands-on training to build skills for joint decision-making on critical areas, including food production, livestock management, and financial planning. By empowering women with knowledge and tools to actively participate, we are helping foster an environment where all voices are valued and heard.
A Partnership for Sustainable Change
ADRA Uganda and KRLON worked closely to tailor the training to meet the community’s needs, reinforcing a culture of gender equality and respect for human rights. Together, we provided essential materials, ensured participant support, and are committed to monitoring the training’s impact on Kyaka II communities.
We extend our deepest gratitude to ADRA Uganda for their steadfast support and collaboration. Together, we are building stronger, more inclusive communities where every member has an opportunity to contribute, thrive, and lead.
