Introduction:
Welcome to the launch of KRLON’s Annual Report 2023, where we celebrate and reflect upon the remarkable achievements and milestones of the past year. This introduction highlights the significant strides made in coordination, capacity building, and advocacy efforts within the Kyaka II Refugee Settlement.

Coordination:
In the realm of coordination, KRLON has successfully mapped over 500 refugee-led organizations (RLOs), community-based organizations (CBOs), and groups across all zones of the settlement. Through strategic partnerships with key stakeholders such as the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM), UNHCR, ALIGHT, FCA, and various other organizations, we have addressed humanitarian challenges collaboratively. The establishment of sectors focusing on key thematic areas including protection, livelihood, health, education, and digital inclusion has enabled targeted support and effective coordination efforts.

Capacity Building:
KRLON takes pride in the success of its Digital Inclusion Program, conducted in partnership with other refugee-led organizations and INGOs. This initiative equipped 115 graduates with essential digital skills, empowering them to navigate the digital landscape effectively. Moreover, leadership training workshops were conducted to enhance capacities within member organizations, fostering effective community leadership and management of initiatives.

Advocacy:
Advocacy remains a cornerstone of KRLON’s mission. We actively engaged in regional, settlement-level, and sector-level coordination meetings, advocating for the needs and rights of forcibly displaced populations. The official launch event of KRLON marked a significant milestone, garnering recognition from key stakeholders including the UNHCR and the Office of the Prime Minister. The establishment of our office space, full registration as a network, and the creation of a website and social media presence further solidified our recognition and support within the community.

Conclusion:
The achievements outlined in KRLON’s Annual Report 2023 underscore the collaborative efforts of KRLON and its partners in addressing the diverse needs of forcibly displaced populations. We remain committed to expanding our reach, strengthening partnerships, and promoting the well-being and protection of affected communities in the settlement and beyond. Thank you for joining us in this journey of empowerment and advocacy.
