ABOUT US:
UMOJA NI NGUVU A Group was founded in August 2019,it is made of only women ,we are all refugees ,30 members now,who met with the same purpose to help one another in daily challenges we all face as refugees,especially women.
ACTIVITIES :
- We do saving and loaning (VSLA)
- We do tailoring
- piggery
- poultry
- we breed goats
- we trade different products,
CHALLENGES :
- lack of medecines
- lack of enough food for pigs,
- lack of a house hog,
- Lack of enough tailoring machines,
- lack of enough financial means and a low capital
- we save little money due to our small income,but when people ask for a loan they ask more than we can afford and sometimes some members think we do not want to give them money it causes conflicts.
NEEDS:
- we need advocacy and financial means to boost our projects and saving capital,
- we need trainings in livestock,
- we need proffessional skills and tools,
- we need help in getting more tailoring machines,
- we need partnership with other organisations or individuals to help us financially,
- we need help in building a big hog house.
